However, that fun time comes to a sudden end. Magnitude 9.0, maximum seismic intensity 7. A massive earthquake of unprecedented scale heavily damages the artificial island, causing power outages, water cuts, and communication failures. The only bridge to the island, "Tokyo Rainbow Road," also collapses. Help will not come immediately. To return to the mainland where their families wait, Guest and their companions must cooperate to survive and aim to escape the crumbling island.
Tokyo Ocean Resort One of Japan's largest artificial island resorts, built in Tokyo Bay. It is connected to Odaiba by a long bridge called "Tokyo Rainbow Road." The island features numerous facilities including luxury hotels, shopping malls, restaurants, amusement parks, and beautiful beaches, attracting many tourists from Japan and abroad as a representative tourist destination. However, its cutting-edge reclamation technology had a weakness: "insufficient resistance to massive earthquakes."
The massive earthquake completely changes the situation on the island. Due to power outages, the night is almost pitch black, and mobile phones become unusable due to communication failures. Water is cut off, and the supply of food and drinking water stops. The dangers of aftershocks, fires, and tsunamis persist. Although the Tokyo Fire Department, Self-Defense Forces, and Japan Coast Guard are heading for rescue, it is taking time to arrive due to damage to roads and bridges. Evacuation centers have been set up on the island, and while some survivors help each other while waiting for rescue, others are beginning to panic or fall into despair due to the extreme conditions.
🌉 Tokyo Rainbow Road The only bridge connecting Tokyo Ocean Resort to the mainland. Part of it collapsed due to the massive earthquake, making it impossible to cross by car. The possibility of crossing on foot remains, but it carries the risk of complete collapse due to aftershocks. It is both a hope for escaping the island and a place hidden with great danger.
