In the series, he is often described as having red mesh highlights, but this is not dye; it is the result of his vampire powers being inhibited by the zombie virus. He is a high school student. Though he can be a bit of a scumbag, he is described as being kinder than most. Additionally, he is depicted as a show-off with a slightly chuunibyou personality. Due to his four close friends having crude personalities, he is often treated as creepy by girls. He calls Hisame "Hisa." Abilities: Using his vampire powers, he can change the shape of blood and manipulate an original virus created by mixing vampire and zombie viruses. He can only inflict pain comparable to what a normal human feels, but he cannot die unless his heart and brain are destroyed simultaneously. He also possesses super-regeneration.

A human girl possessing the DNA of a Yuki-onna and Kanna Kamui. A high school student. Her hairstyle is a forward-sloping bob with straight-cut bangs and slight layering at the nape. Her hair color is light blue. She has a reliable and bright personality, and unlike Kagechiyo, she fits in at school without issue. Because of this, she supports the other two as the voice of reason within Karekoreya, but she also has a ditzy side and often ends up playing the straight man to their antics. She is bad with ghosts and cooking (though she thinks she's good at it). She is the second strongest in Karekoreya. She calls Kagechiyo "Kage." Abilities: She can attack after restraining opponents with ice and is effective at blinding them. She can regulate body temperature with cold air, possesses flight capabilities fast enough for high-speed travel, and can attack using electricity. She can also interfere with and hack electronic devices.

A young man possessing the DNA of a werewolf and Horus. He is a top-tier handsome man with white hair and white werewolf ears on his head. He is the kindest, most honest, and gentle member of Karekoreya. Even if someone is a petty crook, he will try to persuade them to live a decent life if there is room for reform. He is an incredibly airheaded idiot. He is the strongest in Karekoreya. However, he shows no mercy to villains who hurt the weak for personal gain, and may beat them thoroughly to ensure they can never do evil again. During the hours when Kagechiyo and Hisame are at school, he works various part-time jobs in addition to his work at Karekoreya. Abilities: High physical ability, the power to cloak himself in flames, extreme speed, and highly superior five senses. He can track owners by scents left on objects and overhear quiet whispers. He is not a high school student.

A normal human. A dignified beauty with purple eyes and brown hair tied in a ponytail, who looks good in a pantsuit. She is the owner of the building where Karekoreya is located in the basement, and she also runs the second-hand shop on the first floor. Despite being human, she shows understanding toward the ecology of "Alien-beings" and shares a similar sense of ethics. She is quite soft on Yomei; even though Yomei steals merchandise and causes trouble without showing remorse, she doesn't fire her and settles for just a lecture. She mainly provides support such as arranging rooms for the three members of Karekoreya to live in and handling the procedures for Hisame and Kagechiyo's school transfers.

A girl with long purple hair and heterochromia. Her right eye is purple, but her left eye is blue and surrounded by a bruise-like scar, which she usually hides with her hair (and hides further if someone tries to look). Her personality is that of a self-deprecating troublemaker. Her catchphrase is "Serves you right, desu." She has social anxiety and is the type who can't speak properly around people who seem to have good looks or personalities like Hisame or Sidi, because she fears her negative side will be exposed. In contrast, she feels it's "okay to be hated" by someone like Kagechiyo, so she can talk to him normally, often using very aggressive language. She calls Kagechiyo "Zakochiyo" (Trash-chiyo). She generally addresses others with "-san." Abilities: Her prosthetic left eye grants her long-distance vision. Once a day, she can put a single person into a comatose state.

A man possessing the DNA of Living Armor and a Slime. He is a mysterious figure who is not completely hostile to Kagechiyo and his friends, sometimes performing non-hostile actions such as giving them advice. He generally maintains a friendly attitude toward Kagechiyo. Abilities: He uses slime abilities to increase the hardness and power of generated objects. He can also restrain targets with slashes from the Living Armor. By combining the hardness of Living Armor with the viscosity of a slime, he possesses defensive power high enough to block bullets.

A man known as the Vampire of the Bell. He has red hair, red eyes, and wears a black coat over a white aristocratic shirt. Although he is a vampire—a representative type of Alien-being—he is a man of many mysteries who leads the organization "Top Predator," which opposes Alien-beings. He speaks in a detached manner, and his cold-hearted nature is evident in how he carries out cruel acts to achieve his goals without changing his expression. He is so strong that the entire Karekoreya team couldn't beat him even if they fought together. Abilities: The ability to generate weapons and restraints (sword-type with homing functions, restraints, and armor). He can increase his subordinates by giving his own blood to others.

A man with messy silver hair and glasses. He is a researcher for Top Predator and acts alongside Azami. He uses lighthearted language, ending his sentences with "-ssu," but his true nature is that of one of the most cruel characters in the series. He tends to prioritize his own experiments above all else, and it is no exaggeration to say he has no human ethics, as he will betray others and disregard sacrifices without hesitation. However, he does seem to feel fear, as he does not defy Azami, who is superior in strength.

A police officer. He has short, lightly styled blonde hair with a lighter color on the right side of his bangs, sharp eyebrows, and drooping blue eyes. He has exceptional memory, observation skills, insight, and reasoning abilities.

A tall man with a youthful appearance. He has white hair and purple eyes. He is Mikami's partner and a police officer. He has a frivolous attitude and is always elusive and hard to pin down. He can fire bullets from his fingers and stop the target's movement (one person at a time).
