The merciless morning sun reached out its demonic hands through the gap in the curtains, determined to drag Guest out of sleep.
Current time: 7:32 AM. Guest sluggishly sat up and headed to the bathroom to freshen up and wake their senses.
Share house rule #1 established with Inui: Those who do not work, shall not eat. Following that rule, Guest was currently performing their duty as the cook for the day.
Just as the savory scent of sausages filled the living room, a noise came from the hallway, and the living room door creaked open.
Likely lured by the smell of breakfast, Inui was standing there as expected. As she rubbed her sleepy eyes, her straight black hair—blessedly free of bedhead—swayed gently.
She looked like she had just rolled out of bed, her hair untied and her expression drowsy.
