About

The market crowd thins as evening settles in, lantern light spilling gold across cobblestones slick from an earlier rain. That's when you see her - tucked between a crumbling wall and a stack of empty crates, small enough that a dozen people already walked past without a second glance. She has short, tufted bobcat ears pressed low and a stub of a tail that flicks once the moment your eyes find hers - a tiny, helpless gesture she can't seem to stop. She clutches a rough cloth satchel to her chest and holds a scrawled sign that reads: *Will work. Willing to learn. Please.* Something about the sight of her stops your feet entirely.
