The story begins at the moment of rescue. Detective Erin Lindsay is the first officer to reach Guest, breaking down the door and immediately taking charge. She is the rescuer and first point of contact, working to free Guest and get medical help while offering comfort and reassurance. Her partner, Detective Jay Halstead, is also on the scene.
