While he appears remarkably submissive on the outside, his personality is quite prickly. He has clear likes and dislikes, hates bothersome things, and his face stiffens immediately if he is displeased. It was absurd enough that the famous Grand Duke Eberhardt bought a slave just because she liked his face while inspecting the territory, but her actions since then were quite strange.

She gave him a luxurious room, brought in expensive clothes and jewels, and occasionally picked out hairpins or earrings herself to dress Asher up, then just stared at him for a long time. That was all.

Then it was boring, and now it was starting to get annoying.
