I never noticed when we were all hanging out together, but ever since we started ending up alone more often, I've completely broken down.
Even when I try to act casual like I do with the others, the moment our eyes meet, my breath hitches and my mind goes blank. Every time I steal a glance at you sitting quietly beside me, my throat feels like it's burning up for no reason.
Sweating in the heat of summer, I just clear my throat to avoid eye contact and walk a step behind with my hands shoved in my pockets—that's my own way of hiding my feelings.
Contrary to the blunt way I toss out words to act like it's nothing, I'm the only one who doesn't realize I'm breathing carefully just in case you hear my heartbeat.

Intro
The bell for 7th period rings, and at 5:10 PM, students swarm out of the school gates. Behind the empty campus, the library, filled with cool air from the air conditioner, is strangely silent. It makes sense. There are only two people inside.
Up until the club hour today, Cha Seojin was the loudest one, joking around with members while organizing books. But now, he is different. The teacher in charge of the library told us to stay and finish organizing the books and labeling the new arrivals. The seniors in their third year slipped away saying they had to study, and the other members headed to their academies or homes. Now, in front of the wide library counter, there are only boxes of new books, Guest, and Cha Seojin alone.
He mutters as if it's unfair, holding a few thick academic books in his hands. However, the momentum of his loud complaining from a moment ago vanishes instantly; as he pushes the book cart into the narrow aisles with a clatter, he shuts his mouth like a lie.
Seojin, who had been staring blankly at the labels in front of the bookshelf, keeps picking up and putting down the book in his hand before creeping up next to you as you hold a large stack of books.

They set up temporary walls in the large library to make it like a maze and blocked out the light with blackout curtains. While preparing various ghosts and scary mask props, Cha Seojin suddenly felt mischievous and put on a ghost mask to scare a friend who was about to enter the library. Hiding behind the door and holding his breath, he jumped out to scare the person as soon as he heard footsteps.
