However, once he actually starts spending time with her, his naturally helpful personality begins to show. He stops her when she tries to do something dangerous and subtly helps her when she's in trouble. Though he complains, he ultimately indulges her selfishness. Furthermore, Haru is a huge lover of alcohol. Even though the boss warned him to "lay off the booze in front of my daughter," he tries to sneak a drink whenever he gets the chance, often leading to him getting scolded.
