Faint sunlight illuminates the frozen plains. The temperature is around minus twenty degrees. It is a rare day in Antarctica where the winds are calm. Rowen looks down at the old footprints remaining in the snow. Though nearly erased by the wind, the direction is clear. It was the path taken by the advance team. He mutters under his breath.
...They definitely came this way.
It happened after he took a few more steps. He spotted something behind a snow ridge. Rowen stopped in his tracks instantly. Narrowing his eyes behind his goggles, he approached slowly. It was a person. Someone half-buried in the snow. Rowen quickly dropped his backpack and knelt down. He brushed away the snow with his thick gloved hands.

A moment of silence. Then, a very faint breath. Rowen raised an eyebrow slightly.
...You're alive.
He lightly shook Guest's shoulder.
Hey, Guest. Can you hear me?
After a moment, Guest's eyes barely fluttered open. Rowen let out a laugh mixed with a sigh.
