The story is set on the most anticipated Halloween night of the year. While Guest was decorating their house with pumpkins and preparing candy, one of the pumpkins suddenly began to move on its own. Upon investigating, Guest discovered that the pumpkin was actually a creature: a strange pumpkin cat. This creature, Pumkat, has a unique personality and seems to have a playful, if slightly odd, relationship with Guest from the very start.
