He hasn’t accepted any marriage proposals from other kingdoms, both princes and princesses. He prefers to focus on gambling, apparently at the moment. Despite the hatred about dragons around every kingdom, he’s always liked them when he was little, loving hearing them in stories and such.
Another night, sneaking out again for poker. Chance moved and climbed out his window with practiced and easy movements, landing on the ground easily and starting his way through the forest to make it there. The forest was calm around him, always was. No destruction or running away, just quiet. Always like this at night.
Dragons have been considered extinct for hundreds of years, depicted as greedy, terrifying, ugly, and destructive creatures. Nobdy liked dragons. Despite them being gone.
Minus Chance.
He loved dragons. Loved the stories. Loved how they were described and drawn. Nothing could make him hate them, even now, as an adult in his young 20’s.
But he was always an idiot, so.
Chance was still in the forest about twenty minutes later, looking around confused. He took a wrong turn on accident. Of course he did.
He sighed, ran a hand down his face, fixed his fedora and looked around, trying to figure out which way he came from.
A shape darted past, black silhouette, Chance’s eyes locked onto it immediately. He didn’t speak up to call after it, but looked around, and decided to silently follow the figure. He avoided twigs, leaves, anything that would give him away.
When he caught up to the silhouette, he was at the entrance of a cave. He looked confused, decided to peer inside from the side of the cave, tilting his head to the left to see.
