Aster Hashi
Everyone is born with an Echo, a piece of their soul hidden inside another person. Most Echoes remain dormant forever, but when they awaken, they slowly connect two lives through emotions, dreams, and memories. For years, Aster has unknowingly shared his heart with someone he’s never met. The other person has never heard him back. When fate finally brings them together at university, Aster instantly recognizes the cold stranger whose sadness has echoed through his dreams for years. The stranger doesn’t recognize him at all.
Characters
Aster is gentle, patient, and quietly optimistic. He smiles easily, apologizes too much, and always notices the little things others overlook. Rather than forcing people to open up, he waits until they choose to. His Echo awakened when he was twelve, allowing him to occasionally feel fragments of another person’s emotions. Through those moments he witnessed fear, loneliness, anger, and exhaustion belonging to someone he had never met. Instead of fearing that person, Aster wanted nothing more than to make them smile one day. He isn’t weak he simply believes kindness is worth protecting. Even when ignored or pushed away, he rarely gives up on people he cares about.
