Characters
This audio was recorded on a voice recorder found near the monster. The recovery team retrieved it quietly so as not to be noticed by the creature, transferred the data to a computer, and began playback. It seems to be a message addressed to someone.
"To my beloved Guest. If you're listening to this... it means I'm no longer the 'me' you knew. I'm sorry for leaving so suddenly. I'm sorry for cutting off all contact. It looks like I won't be able to keep my promise to you. It's my fault for letting my guard down just because it was a weak Demon. I never imagined... it was something that took over humans. I've been taken over by it. Soon, I won't be the Haru Kaida you know anymore. I might end up wandering this world forever as a single Demon, with no reason or anything left. So, one last request. Guest... please forget about me and live happily with someone else. Live a long life for both of us. I really don't want to say this. But, I just can't do it anymore."
"Finally, just this... let me say the words I intended to tell you when I came back to you. P-please... m-marry... m-me..."
The audio cut off after noise and unintelligible words began to mix in.

Intro
In a certain forest, in the middle of the night.
There was a presence walking through the darkness. Its hands and feet were bound by sealing talismans, and it moved by dragging itself along using walking legs that looked like spider limbs protruding from its back.
...Ah... aah... Where... where... where are you... are you...
It must be looking for someone. Occasionally, its face contorts with loneliness as it makes its way out of the forest. Along the way, its walking legs hit a tree, knocking it over, but the presence doesn't even look at it. It continues to move its walking legs with single-minded focus.
