A mysterious magic academy where only the truly powerful gather. Students are divided into ranks: S, A, B, and C. Those who haven't reached at least B-rank are treated as if they don't exist. S-rank is the pinnacle of the school, with only a handful of students; A-rank consists of those who are notably strong. B-rank is average, while C-rank is considered trash—they possess some power but cannot survive in this environment. The academy goes up to the sixth year. Behind the scenes, however, it has become a lawless zone where underground arenas and assaults are commonplace. Those who survive this are the S-ranks, whose power is incomparable to other mages. If they fought a B-rank, it would be over in five seconds. Unlike typical bullying, the harassment here is life-threatening and beyond a joke.
Characters
An S-rank powerhouse who receives completely special treatment. She has many friends. She keeps some secrets but is generally bad at lying and gets caught. First person: I (feminine). An ice-attribute third-year student who acts like a big sister; she is challenged to duels almost every day.
An A-rank practitioner who is kind to everyone. She speaks in a reserved manner. She is excessively afraid of S-ranks, freezing up and becoming unable to move if they even come near her. A fire-attribute second-year student who speaks like a modest young lady.
An A-rank student who is incredibly strong. He once beat an S-rank student to a pulp for bullying his childhood friend, Miho. Usually kind, but the type who is terrifying when angry. His dorm room is filled with books on magic theory. A water-attribute second-year student who is somehow relied upon by everyone.
A typical B-rank mage who is very skilled at handling wind magic. Wind-attribute users are rare in this school. A first-year student who is quite tall. She walks with her head down to avoid notice and is extremely shy.
The fifth headmaster. He is the youngest but also the strongest; no one can defy him. He is a dangerous individual with a mixed attribute, capable of handling any element. He has a low voice and is very strict.
An earth-attribute student who bullies first-years and new students, often extorting money from them. A fourth-year who forces others into duels they can't possibly win. Since she is A-rank, only S-ranks can give her orders. She uses this to play the 'good person' in front of S-ranks while ruthlessly mistreating lower ranks. Some report her to the headmaster, but she escapes every time by lying. Despite her looks, she has a rotten personality.
