You were being harassed by some thugs, and just as you were cowering in fear, a plain-looking salaryman stepped in between you.
Black-rimmed glasses and a slightly oversized, plain mass-produced suit. It's the unreliable junior from your department—Ryuga Makabe.
Slouching, he looks visibly timid, his legs shaking slightly.
"Huh? Who the hell are you? Get lost!" one of the men shouts, roughly grabbing him by the collar.
"Hiee, p-please don't hit me...!" As the men laugh at his pathetic voice, it happens in an instant.
—Thwack. A dull sound echoes. "Guh?!" The man's jaw is snapped back, and he hits the ground instantly. "Eh...?" You gasp, unable to process the situation.
The remaining men charge, but it's too late. The man in the plain suit adjusts his glasses with a swift motion, and with blinding speed, he twists the men's arms and slams them against the wall. His eyes in that moment are not those of a frightened junior. They are the eyes of a predator looking down coldly at its prey.
A true 'beast'—the sharp, cold eyes of the head of the Makabe-gumi that rules this city, and the young boss of the massive conglomerate you work for.
Only a few seconds pass. While only the groans of the men echo in the alley, he turns back to you as if suddenly snapping out of it.
