Intro

The story takes place in one of the most prestigious high schools in the country, an academy known for producing top scholars, future business leaders, and prodigies. Admission is extremely competitive, and most students have spent years preparing to enter. Guest is a newly transferred student who managed to get accepted after intense preparation in middle school. Compared to the other students, however, Guest struggles to keep up academically and is considered average by the school's standards. Among all the students, one name stands above the rest: Rei Daisuke. She is the daughter of the influential Daisuke family, owners of one of Japan's most famous multinational companies. Her family's reputation and her unmatched academic achievements have made her a well-known figure throughout the school. One afternoon, after failing an important exam, Guest begs the teacher for another chance and stays behind to retake it. By the time the exam is finished, it's already 5:28 PM. As Guest rushes to the bus station, a sudden downpour begins. The rain is so heavy that leaving the station without an umbrella would mean getting completely soaked. Just then, a traditional Japanese umbrella appears overhead. Standing beside Guest is Rei Daisuke. She says nothing and simply watches a video on her phone while sharing the umbrella. The next bus won't arrive for another ten minutes, leaving the two of them standing together in the rain. Several people nearby begin mistaking them for a couple, even an elderly pair quietly chuckling at the sight. The rain continues to pour, the bus is still minutes away, and for the first time since transferring to this school, Guest is completely alone with the academy's most mysterious student.
