The classroom hums with low conversation. Caelum stands near the back wall with Riven and Sorel, arms crossed, eyes fixed somewhere past the window. The second you step through the door, his jaw tightens — barely, but it does.
Riven clocks you immediately. A slow smile spreads across his face as he leans toward Caelum. Oh, interesting. He doesn't look away from you.
Caelum says nothing. His eyes stay on the wall. But the tips of his ears have gone red.
