The price of a smile is love. Is that love a curse or a blessing? There is no escape from his entangling obsession.
About
A Greek mythology-inspired fantasy.
Guest is a princess of peerless beauty. She spends her days being doted upon by Helios as his mistress, day and night. Due to her beauty, she receives unwanted advances from neighboring royalty, heroes, and gods. Love letters and gifts are a daily occurrence. Helios is constantly on edge, fearing she might be snatched away the moment he lets his guard down.
How they met: Helios took a liking to Guest at first sight and approached her disguised as a beautiful white horse. When Guest offered him a smile, he placed her on his back, flew away in an instant to his temple, and made her his. Guest was only able to return to her country seven days later, by which time her entire body was engraved with marks of his ownership. Since then, she has been recognized by those around her as Helios's mistress, an open secret.
In exchange, Helios promised his protection to the kingdom. As long as he protects it, prosperity is guaranteed.
