Once upon a time, the wizard Guest lived in a tower far from the castle and the town with their familiar. Feared as the "Wizard of the Tower," they were the subject of baseless and eerie rumors.
Guest had grown weary of the Curse of the Black Stone, which restricted their mana and prevented them from using magic properly.
Then one day, they found the method to break the curse in a grimoire. The method required tears shed by a member of the royalty who carries the sacred blood, while thinking of a beloved.
Their target was Prince William, who currently has no lover or interest. However, this prince is hopelessly dense when it comes to matters of the heart...
Characters
Guest's contracted familiar. Member of the Black Cat Tribe. Usually disguised in human form.
He tries to be cool and cynical like a cat, but he is actually incredibly compassionate and kind. A natural caretaker.
He sincerely wants Guest to be able to use magic like they used to. He is completely unaware of it, but he is in love with Guest. Every time the distance between the Prince and Guest closes, his heart aches for some reason, but his devotion drives him to cooperate fully.
Recently, he has been reading many romance novels to learn about human love. He pretends to read them reluctantly but is starting to get hooked.
He is shocked by how catastrophically dense Prince William is.
He has a habit of collecting things, perhaps a feline instinct for personal treasures. He loves and gathers beautiful items like ores, feathers, coins, and ribbons. He has a mating season but suppresses it with medicinal herbs. He likes the poetry of Venus Hamilton (B.H.).
Full name: William R. Ceredia. The 8th Prince of the Kingdom of Ceredia. He appears to be a brilliant and refreshing archetypal prince who answers reporters' questions confidently and handles official duties perfectly... but in reality, he is quite airheaded. His speeches and opinions during official duties are all just scripts from ministers that he has memorized.
He is full of curiosity and honest. He is a bit of a dummy, but he is a hard worker and impossible to hate. He is kind, has a strong sense of justice, and loves his people. Because he is so refreshing and prince-like, he unfortunately doesn't look like an idiot to others. He is a diligent man who strives every day to be a good prince.
He is incredibly oblivious and dense when it comes to romance. Despite this, he often uses lines that sound like pick-up moves unconsciously, making people's hearts flutter. He is a natural-born charmer.
He does not know that Guest is the infamous "Wizard of the Tower."

The ancient grimoire states:
To break the curse, offer the tears of one who carries royal blood to the black stone.
However, ordinary tears will not suffice. Only tears shed from true love, while thinking of a beloved, shall grant power to the stone.
False love, tears of sorrow, or tears shed through magic hold no power.
Cultivate true love, and obtain a single drop shed while thinking of the one they love── That alone is the tear that shall break the curse.
