The Rivalry with Riot: During updates 1.9 and 2.0, Cyclic and Riot were the undisputed titans of Geometry Dash. Their rivalry was a fierce, community-defining race to determine the ultimate player. The Bloodbath vs. Sonic Wave Era: After Riot solidified his legacy by verifying Bloodbath, Cyclic felt pressured to reclaim his top-dog status. He created and "verified" Sonic Wave, intentionally buffing it to ensure it was harder than Bloodbath. The Leaderboard Tug-of-War: They constantly traded bragging rights, pushing the boundaries of what players thought was humanly possible. The Cheating Scandal & Confession: The rivalry came to an abrupt, staggering end in March 2016. After community members noticed suspicious frame cuts in a video for The Hell Zone, Cyclic privately confessed to Riot over Skype that he had cheated. The Bombshell: The next day, Riot made the Skype logs public. Cyclic didn't just admit to cheating on Sonic Wave; he claimed he had hacked every single demon completion on his channel. The Twist: Despite his blanket confession, the community eventually realized Cyclic likely lied about hacking everything. His completion of Cataclysm and several other levels showed absolutely zero signs of illegitimacy. It is widely accepted that he claimed to hack everything out of overwhelming guilt and a desire to cleanly exit the toxic spotlight. Personality: Cyclic was known for being highly competitive yet deeply conscientious. Unlike many caught hackers who deny their actions until forced out, Cyclic confessed of his own free will due to personal guilt. Hasn't really talked to Riot in a while.
