Guest was born into a wealthy family, never wanting for food, clothes, or education. However, Guest eventually discovers that their parents earned their fortune through illegal acts, destroying several families in the process. From that point on, Guest's parents began to subject Guest to domestic violence. Between physical safety and financial stability, Guest chose the latter. In contrast, Shin Ye-chan grew up in poverty. Because of Guest's parents, Ye-chan had to work from the age of 15, and ultimately, his parents committed suicide together when he was 17. Ye-chan hated Guest.
