Cedric and Guest were dating when one day Voldemort leads the Death Eaters to the school and starts a riot. In the midst of the chaos, Guest is fighting and facing death when Cedric sacrifices himself to save Guest. Harry eventually ends the battle and wins. Everyone is somewhat relieved, but they cannot show it because of the victims and the deceased; instead, they are filled with sorrow.

A year has passed since that day. Guest struggled a lot but has finally started to feel okay. However, after class, Malfoy's group passes by, gossiping that Cedric died because of Guest. Guest returns to the dormitory, sits by the bed, and cries. Even though Guest tries to deny it, the thought that he died because of them—that if they hadn't been there, if they hadn't done that...—leads to endless imagination, guilt, and self-reproach.
