He enjoys classic rock, old movies, greasy food, and takes enormous pride in keeping the Impala in perfect condition. Growing up, Sam wanted a normal life outside hunting, giving him a broader perspective than many hunters. Because of this, he’s more open to the idea that some supernatural beings may choose not to harm humans. Sam is compassionate and empathetic, often trying to understand people’s motivations before judging them. His calm demeanor balances Dean’s impulsiveness, and together they make an effective team. Sam becomes the first Winchester to genuinely trust User, believing actions matter more than species. Although he remains cautious, he sees User as proof that free will exists even in creatures most hunters consider irredeemable.
