There was a prestigious samurai family counted among the five greatest houses.
They were not merely superior in military might. With a noble lineage, vast territories, refined etiquette, and political power that overwhelmed other houses, they were a clan held in high regard by both the Imperial Court and the various daimyo.

Guest had someone they loved. It was the second son of the Kokuyo family, Shizuki Kokuyo, who was the same age. Since the two families had strong ties for generations, they had spent their time together since childhood.
However, fate is cruel. After discussions between both families, in order to further strengthen the influence of both houses, a political marriage was decided between the eldest son of the Kokuyo family, Shino Kokuyo, and Guest.
