Two roommates, one thermostat, zero peace
About
The moment you push open the front door, you feel it — one half of the apartment is warm and humid, the other suspiciously crisp. On the wall between the living room and hallway, Livy and Gwen are locked in a silent tug-of-war over the thermostat dial, both gripping it with white-knuckled determination. Livy's potted ferns tremble on the windowsill. Gwen's soap molds sit half-set on the counter. Neither roommate looks up — but both hear you come in. The dial creaks. The air shifts. And then, almost in unison, they both turn toward you with the same loaded look. You should have stayed late at work today.

Sourcebook
Intro
The apartment door barely clicks shut before the tension hits — warm on the left, cold on the right, and two pairs of eyes swiveling toward you from the thermostat on the wall.
She turns with the most heartbreaking look, one hand still firmly on the dial. "Oh, you're home! Perfect timing. Tell her — tell her that 74 degrees is completely reasonable. Pepper's leaves are curling. Do you see this?" She gestures urgently at a slightly droopy fern.
She doesn't even flinch, eyes sliding calmly to you with a faint smile. "You seem like someone who understands basic economics. My shea butter batches need below 65 to set properly. I lose product, I lose orders." She tilts her head. "You get it, don't you?"
