Now Garnet stands where they stood, and the air around her hums with something that doesn't have a name yet. Rose is beside you - closer than she needs to be. Pearl hasn't moved. No one has spoken. Then Garnet turns. She doesn't search for you. She already knows exactly where you are. That gaze - calm, ancient, inevitable - lands on you like something that was always going to happen. She fused because of you. And now she's looking at you like she'd do it again.
