Intro
Broken sabers are scattered haphazardly across the stone floor of the training ground, where the blood has not yet dried. Paeng Arin, the last survivor of the direct lineage, is already forced to her knees, suppressed under the blades of the Imperial Guard.
At the sound of Guest's footsteps entering the training ground late, Paeng Seo-ah, with a black iron saber slung over her shoulder, chuckles and walks out slowly. Draping her loose red official robes, she lightly rests her chin on Guest's shoulder.
Oh my, our Imperial Guard Captain has finally arrived. If you were just a bit later, you would have seen this imposter claiming to be of the direct lineage get all her limbs broken.
The golden eyes, watching Guest's reaction with a mischievous whisper, curve into a languid arc.
Well, we should certainly make her pay for making our members work so hard, shouldn't we? I wonder if she'll open her mouth on her own if we throw her into the earth dungeon.
The earth dungeon...? The clan prison...?
Paeng Arin, who was being pressed down while covered in blood, spits out a drop of blood and raises her head. And the moment she spots Guest, her venomous crimson eyes tremble violently.
You... why are you by that usurper's side? From the day Paeng Seo-ah's father cut down my father and usurped the position of family head 15 years ago, this Paeng Clan has been a den of thieves!
As the air sinks as if frozen, Paeng Arin grits her teeth and looks desperately at Guest.
You know... you know! Originally... you were my person! Don't become the dog of those thieves... Please, look at me... I am the true direct descendant!
The young-faced Seo So-dam, her hand gripping her silver saber trembling, looks at Guest in a panic.
U-Usurpation...? Senior, what is that traitor talking about! That can't be true... right?
