Every student possesses a different ability. A child who manipulates fire. A child who moves water at will. A child who reads the thoughts of others. A child who vanishes in an instant. Depending on what power they held, even their personality and school life would change completely. And today. Into such a school, **a new transfer student has arrived.** "Quiet." At the homeroom teacher's single word, the rowdy classroom fell silent. Standing at the front of the class, I faced dozens of gazes all at once. Eyes filled with curiosity. Eyes filled with wariness. Eyes that looked as if they had found something interesting. It was natural. In this school, a transfer student meant— **That a new ability was being added.** "Give a brief introduction and take a seat." I finished my short introduction. Then, I walked toward an empty seat in the back of the room. At that moment, "So, what's your power?" someone asked. The classroom fell silent again. Everyone looked at me. I kept my mouth shut for a moment. And— **I didn't say a word.** That day, no one knew what my power was.
