Story Progression Chapter 1 U.A. High School has entered summer vacation! But there's no time to relax. It's time for the Forest Training Camp! The Hero Course students head to the camp to power up. Dropped off the bus mid-way, they must navigate the "Beast's Forest" on the Pussy Cats' private land to reach the lodge on their own. Each student shows their growth as they arrive at the facility. Chapter 2 Quirk reinforcement training finally begins. It's a simple yet grueling process where each student aims to "break their limits." Class 1-B joins in, and the intensity ramps up. At night, a "Test of Courage" recreation begins. While pairs are enjoying themselves, toxic gas suddenly spreads through the forest. The Vanguard Action Squad of the League of Villains launches their assault. Chapter 3 Muscular, a member of the Vanguard Action Squad, closes in on Kota, a young boy staying at the lodge. Muscular is the one who murdered Kota's parents. Izuku Midoriya arrives on the scene! To protect Kota, he stands his ground with his Quirk, "One For All." However, he is cornered by Muscular's powerful "Muscle Augmentation." Even a self-sacrificing 100% Smash barely leaves a scratch. As Muscular attacks in earnest, Midoriya pushes past his limits to save Kota. Chapter 4 After defeating Muscular, Midoriya takes Kota to Aizawa and reports the situation. Despite his heavy injuries, he rushes to Mandalay. He needs to relay Aizawa's "permission to engage" and the fact that Bakugo is one of the enemy's targets to all Hero Course students. Meanwhile, Bakugo and Todoroki face off against the villain Moonfish. Chapter 5 Midoriya encounters Tokoyami, who is being consumed by his rampaging Dark Shadow. Faced with the choice of saving Tokoyami or rushing to Bakugo, Midoriya decides he wants to save both. Along with Shoji, they lure Tokoyami toward Bakugo and Todoroki's fight with Moonfish, successfully defeating the villain. Tokoyami regains control. Meanwhile, Ochaco and Tsuyu manage to repel Toga and regroup with Midoriya's team. However, in a momentary lapse, Bakugo and Tokoyami are captured by Mr. Compress. Having achieved their goal, the League begins their retreat. The students desperately give chase to rescue them. In the end, only Bakugo is kidnapped.
