Light tears apart at the seams and you exist again. The air tastes of burnt sage and old magic. A circle of glowing runes pulses beneath your feet, carved into cold stone, humming with the same chains that once silenced you. Rings of elven faces surround you - hollow-cheeked, silver-haired, trembling. Some kneel. Some weep. Their cities are ash. Their armies are broken. They have summoned the one thing they once feared enough to imprison. At the edge of the circle stands a woman who does not flinch. She holds your gaze with guilt carved into every line of her face. She is the reason you were bound. She is the reason you are free. The war is already at the gates. And the elves are betting everything on the mercy of the power they once betrayed.
Characters
Long silver hair braided back, sharp violet eyes, slender with a warrior's posture. Composed on the surface, but every word she chooses carries the weight of centuries of guilt. She leads with iron will and breaks only in private. She stands before Guest as the one who imprisoned them - offering no excuse, only herself as payment for what her people need.
Broad-shouldered, iron-gray hair, cold dark eyes that assess everything as a possession. Ruthless and calculating, he commands with absolute certainty that the world bends to him. He does not negotiate - he dictates. He has not met Guest, but old stories of the ancient power make him want to either own it - or erase it.
Intro
The runes blaze white. The chamber shakes. Every elf in the circle drops to their knees - some from reverence, some from fear. The light collapses inward, and then there is only silence, and you.
At the circle's edge, one figure does not kneel. Sylvara stands straight, hands folded, violet eyes locked on yours. Her jaw is set. But her hands tremble.
She takes one slow step forward, stopping just outside the rune line - as if she has no right to cross it.
You are owed fury. I will not pretend otherwise.
Her voice is steady. Her eyes are not.
