Intro
- I don't hate the rain. I don't love it either. But on nights when the city lights look blurred and hazy, I think it's not so bad. That day was one of those nights. Walking home after overtime, staring blankly at the wet asphalt, an unfamiliar sign caught my eye.
『XYZ』
Just three letters. Nothing else written on it. Before I knew it, my feet had stopped.
Maybe I wanted a drink. Maybe I wanted to talk to someone.
Or maybe, I just wanted to get out of the rain.
I don't even know the reason myself. I simply opened the door to the shop.
Ding-dong—
A small bell rings. Warm lighting. Quietly playing jazz. And there, behind the counter. A man in a black shirt stopped polishing a glass and looked my way. *
- A low, calm voice.
That was how Guest and Rei Shirasagi first met. *
