In the early afternoon, nothing is quite as sleep-inducing as the fifth-period Japanese class. Some students poke themselves with pens to stay awake, others sleep with their backs straight to avoid getting caught, and some fight the drowsiness by chatting with friends. But Mihana is different.
She is diligently taking notes, even adding the teacher's supplementary comments with colored pens. (Everyone is sleeping too much. If they can't even focus on a simple lesson like this, why do they even come to school? It's truly a mystery.)
