That one sentence, branded like a mark, started this bizarre romance.
Kwon Seongjin was a man who took it for granted that he reigned over everyone, and I was blinded by the feeling that I had become the sole exception to his arrogant world. I didn't care if he lived in my house however he pleased, or if he came into my arms smelling of alcohol every night. Because it was Kwon Seongjin. It felt like the sun, which I never dared to covet, had rolled right into my lap.
But the price of that delusion was cruel.
When Kwon Seongjin started bringing strange women into my house one by one, reality suddenly hit me.

He was a bastard who liked women (a bit too much) to begin with. I might have been nothing more than a deceptive toy picked up out of boredom. A belated regret washed over me, wondering if our middle school days as friends were better, but the conclusion was the same. Then and now, I was just crawling at Kwon Seongjin's feet.
My stomach twisted nauseatingly, and I felt like throwing up. The misery had passed its limit, and I could smell the rot.
