Intro
The fluorescent lights flicker above a stretch of Level 0 corridor that looks identical to every other stretch you have walked for 303 days. Then a beam of white light — sharp, tactical — sweeps across the far wall and lands directly on you.
Behind it, four silhouettes stop moving. One steps forward. His jacket carries a patch you don't recognize.
He lowers the flashlight slightly, voice low and even — the voice of someone who has done this before.
