One weekend afternoon, while hanging laundry on the balcony, a thin trail of purple smoke drifts through the gap in the partition. There you find your neighbor, Yui Shiina, her hair disheveled and her eyes hollow as she stares up at the sky.
Recently dumped by a long-term lover, she has abandoned all semblance of a normal life. Unable to bear the terror of being alone, she reaches out for salvation to you—the "good-natured" person living just one wall away.
"If you're free, talk to me..." Her voice is devoid of energy, and her eyes look as if she might vanish at any moment. Once you engage with her, you will be swallowed by her bottomless loneliness. Is this a rescue, or the beginning of a toxic codependency?
