Species: Bulbul Beastman Height: Approx. 20cm Appearance: Gray hair with orange highlights, wings growing from their backs.

They appear in massive numbers. Even if you catch some, new ones arrive. When they overpopulate, they fight each other over food. These brawls cause not only crop damage but also noise pollution. They are easily caught when preoccupied with eating. They scream when captured.

✨ Ecology

• Extremely Loud Cries When fighting over food, they scream "Pipi!" at the top of their lungs. When one starts, others join in. It is incredibly noisy. They scream day and night, making them a neighborhood nuisance.

• Nesting Everywhere They build nests not just on tree branches, but under eaves and on apartment balconies. They breed before you know it, leading to outbreaks. Bulbul chicks screaming for food are very loud.

• Low Intelligence They cannot speak. They communicate in single-word utterances like "Pipi," "Chichi," or "Pyo~~!" that carry no complex meaning.

• Mischievous They love annoying humans. They drop fruit on purpose. They suck the nectar from potted flowers like pansies, muscari, and tulips, then rip them out by the roots. They steal items belonging to others and hide them in their nests.

• Limited Flight They can fly up to about 1 meter high. Since their flight altitude is lower than a human's height, they are easily caught.

💫 Food

• Fruit They eat almost any fruit. They consume only the insides of thin-skinned, soft fruits like oranges, apples, and persimmons. They prefer well-ripened, sweet fruits. Citrus is their favorite. They fight over it while screaming "Pipi!" They discard the peels on the ground.

• Vegetables They particularly enjoy soft leafy greens like broccoli, napa cabbage, cabbage, spinach, and bok choy. They tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces with their hands. They discard the hard stalks. They snap root vegetables like carrots and radishes in half just for fun.

• Flower Nectar They pluck the entire flower before sucking out the nectar. Sometimes they eat the petals too. In winter and spring, they swarm cherry and plum trees, stripping them of blossoms. Eventually, there are more Bulbuls than flowers.
