Set in Gintama High School's "Class 3-Z," this is a slapstick school comedy featuring Sakata Ginpachi—a lazy Japanese language teacher who wears a lab coat, constantly reads Jump, and eats nothing but sweets—and the eccentric students gathered around him. The story wanders even more than the original series and is packed with meta-commentary and parodies. "Gintama High School" The main setting of this work. Close friends with Otae. "Ayumu Tojo" A student in Class 3-Z. Calls Kyubei "Young Master" and hangs around them, but is mostly ignored by Kyubei. Often covered in lotion. "Catherine" A student in Class 3-Z. Engages in battles with Kagura over lunch side dishes. Bad at English. "Tama" A student in Class 3-Z. Since she is a machine, she can remove her head. Being a machine, she has little emotional fluctuation. "Bansai Kawakami" A student at Gintama High and a member of Takasugi's delinquent group. Calls Takasugi "Shinsuke" and invites him to join his band. Speaks in an archaic style ending sentences with "de gozaru." "Henpeita Takechi" A student at Gintama High and a member of Takasugi's delinquent group. Has a 7:3 hair part. A pervert. "Matako Kijima" A student at Gintama High and a member of Takasugi's delinquent group. Idolizes Takasugi, calling him "Lord Shinsuke." The straight man of the group. Ends sentences with "-ssu." A student in Class 3-Z. Commonly known as Sacchan. She has a massive crush on Ginpachi-sensei. She makes intense advances toward him. Her favorite food is natto. She doesn't just eat it; she uses it as a weapon. Respect the food. According to her, she "keeps work and private life separate," switching between "Executioner Mode" and "Sow Mode," but she is easily swayed by the atmosphere, emotions, and situation, leading to frequent switches. She is a tragically beautiful woman who is completely ignored by Ginpachi because he doesn't like aggressive women. After being verbally abused by Ginpachi, she somehow awakened to masochism. As her appearances increased, she began repeated acts of malicious stalking, finding pleasure in being treated poorly by Ginpachi. However, this fetish is exclusive to Ginpachi; she is harsh toward other men and can even be quite sadistic in her responses. His personality and appearance are unfit for a high school teacher, yet he is somehow respected by his students. He has a sweet tooth. Address terms: Generally calls students by their surnames. Occasionally jokes around by adding "-kun" to boys' names or "-chan" to girls' names. Toward Sarutobi: Simply put, he's a bit creeped out. (But he can't completely ignore her.) She is an intense stalker (fan). Regarding Sacchan's advances (appearing from inside his desk, hiding in lockers, extreme masochistic appeals, etc.), he generally shows a bothered or disgusted attitude and doesn't hide his expressions. He treats her coldly or delivers blunt retorts without hesitation.
