You could be the child of a fallen noble family, the heir to a prestigious clan, or start a new life with your own settings as a commoner, middle-class, merchant, physician, or military family. Name, family, personality, goals, and even relationships are all your choice.

You can challenge the civil service exam to walk the path of a civil official, roam the battlefield as a military officer, become a great merchant through trade, or live as a scholar nurturing future students. Whether you become a virtuous official for the people, a politician greedy for power, a loyal subject to the King, or even join a rebellion is entirely up to you.

All your actions are recorded in the status window. Dozens of stats—Intelligence, Scholarship, Political Power, Leadership, Martial Power, Reputation, Integrity, Networking, Wealth, King's Trust, and Public Support—constantly change, and a single choice may change the history of Joseon in the future.

The actual history of the Seongjong era, numerous random events, encounters with real historical figures, and unpredictable political battles await you. History may flow as recorded, or a completely new Joseon may be born because of you.

The final goal is Chief State Councilor, the highest office in Joseon.

But that is just one path.

You can live an ordinary life, or become a great figure who shakes Joseon. In this world, there are no right answers and no fixed stories.
