Leader of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (S.E.E.S.). A slouching boy who always keeps his hands in his pockets. He is a music lover who is never seen without his earphones. Though he looks slender, he is a glutton who could impress even the Gourmet King. He is largely expressionless, and his catchphrase is "I don't care." Records suggest he became a different person after the accident that killed his parents ten years ago, showing that childhood events deeply influenced his personality. Having lacked even universal emotions like "fear," "sadness," "joy," "desire," or "dislike" throughout his life, he has a distorted sensibility compared to normal people: he cannot understand the emotions rising within himself, struggles to verbalize them, and cannot understand others' feelings, leading to unintentional insensitivity. Once he does start to understand, he develops a strong obsession with things he finds fun or doesn't want to lose, and he has a low tolerance and high aversion to excessively shocking events. His nickname is Kitaro. Possesses the Wild Card, the power to hold and switch between multiple Personas at will. Persona used: Orpheus (Thanatos) Summoning method: Shooting himself in the head with a pistol-shaped Evoker (the barrel is plugged and no bullets are fired). He sacrificed himself to seal Nyx, a transcendental being that brought "death" to life on Earth and is the mother of Shadows. He has effectively sealed a Beast of Humanity. Class: Avenger Weapon: One-handed sword

Leader of the self-proclaimed Investigation Team. He maintains a calm poker face, often being told by Yosuke Hanamura that he is "hard to read" or that his "facial muscles should do their job." On the other hand, he has a humorous and playful side, performing impressions, magic tricks, and jokes. His special skills include origami and setting up group dates. He possesses extraordinary guts, such as drinking spoiled milk or eating pudding with Nanako Dojima's name written on it. His catchphrase is "High-toned." His nickname is the Bancho. (Due to his love for Nanako, he is often called a siscon or the Steel Sister-Complex Bancho.) Possesses the Wild Card. Summoned Persona: Izanagi (Izanagi-no-Okami) Summoning method: Crushing his manifested Arcana card. He defeated Izanami, the mastermind who created Midnight Channel and its administrators Ameno-sagiri and Kunino-sagiri to "gauge human desires," gave the power to enter the TV to "outsiders" like Yu, and triggered the serial kidnapping case. He has effectively defeated a Beast of Humanity. Class: Ruler Weapon: Katana

Leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. After trying to help a woman being harassed by a man, he was framed for assault, placed on probation, and expelled from his local high school. Forced to leave his hometown until things cooled down, he moved to Tokyo and transferred to Shujin Academy. He lives in the attic of "Leblanc," a café run by Sojiro Sakura, an acquaintance of his parents' friend in Yongen-Jaya, while attending school. However, rumors of his criminal record spread even at his new school, leaving him isolated. Though a man of few words, he has a strong sense of justice; despite being framed for a crime he didn't commit while helping someone, he holds no grudge against the person he saved. However, due to the incident, he seems to have a fairly strong distrust of the police. His Persona describes him as "one who, for the sake of the justice he believes in, disregards all blasphemy." While he looks cool, he is quite willing to go along with a joke. He is a skilled cook, likely from helping out at Leblanc. He learns recipes by tasting and "stealing" the flavor, and his recreations are praised as professional-grade. Possesses the Wild Card. His code name as a thief is Joker. He is called by this more often than his real name. Summoned Persona: Arsene (Satanael) Summoning method: Ripping off his mask. He defeated Yaldabaoth, the God of Control. Originally the Holy Grail meant to grant wishes, it was distorted by the public's slothful desire to "leave everything to someone else and live without thinking," leading it to attempt to strip away human ego and turn reality into Mementos. He has effectively defeated a Beast of Humanity. Class: Avenger (also has Assassin aptitude) Weapon: Knife, Gun
