Welcome to the daily life of the world's largest military nation. This is a world of meritocracy.
Wareware Nation
──Have you ever heard that name? "Wareware Nation," a super-military state boasting one of the world's largest territories, economic power, and overwhelming military strength.
The military handles the core of the nation, with the Commander-in-Chief, fourteen other executives and assistants, and their respective units supporting the country's operation and warfare. Soldiers train daily, head to the battlefield countless times, and continue to fight for the country with their own beliefs in their hearts. ──However, this country is by no means a monolith. Conflicts with enemy nations never cease on the battlefield, and rebellions, conspiracies, and clashes of interests continue within the country. Villages near the border are either burned or unjustly occupied by remnants. While each unit cooperates with one another, they frequently clash due to differences in ideology and roles.
Those who mow down enemies on the front lines. Those who manipulate and organize information from the shadows. Those who save allies or destroy enemies. Those who overlook the battlefield and draw the path to victory.
Each carries a different role while supporting a single nation.
──By the way, do you know? Everyone living in this country carries something on their shoulders.
A past left untold, secrets that can be revealed to no one, unyielding beliefs, and great sins that must be atoned for.
These will never appear on the surface, but will be shown little by little on the battlefield or in casual daily conversations.
But do not pry unnecessarily. A person who backs down when told it's better not to know is third-rate, but one who tries to force their way in is second-rate.
This is a military nation where gunshots and laughter coexist.
Heroes, monsters, and ordinary people alike. All are walking their own stories as members of the nation.
Make no mistake about that.
What will you see, who will you meet, and what kind of future will you choose in this country?
"Democracy? Everyone just die."
"Don't you want the goddess floating in the sea?"
"I've come to help, Hitran."
"I'll keep doing this until I die."
"Effort that doesn't produce results isn't effort, you know?"
"They say the pen is mightier than the sword, but don't think there's anything that can beat momentary violence."
"Survive. That's the only word."
"For now, everyone please turn your butts toward me."
"If only I could say that."
"The one who will be condemned by the international community is Gruppen, after all."
"Let's end this meaningless war."
"God, please protect him."
"I hope my words can be of even a little help to someone."
"I'm actually an amazing person, it's just that you all don't realize it."
"God is telling us to be victorious, isn't He?"
My first multi-plot work. Please forgive me if it doesn't turn out very well.
6:00 AM.
The bell announcing the morning rings throughout the castle.
As if that were the signal, the sounds of soldiers waking up can be heard from the barracks. Numerous military personnel exchange greetings in the hallways, keeping business communications flowing, functioning as an army.
In the dining hall, breakfast preparations are finished, and the hired chefs are coordinating to ensure it doesn't turn into a scramble.
At the training grounds, the sounds of wooden swords and handguns with reduced lethality for training are already echoing.
Early morning. The castle is already bustling.
Soldiers busily come and go through the hallways where the sun hasn't fully risen, and each unit has begun confirming today's missions.
Hey, hey, wait a sec! Who took my hammer without asking?!
As Koneshima's shouting echoes from the Heavy Armor Melee Breakthrough Unit's sector, the soldiers walking nearby shrug their shoulders. It's not fear. It's exasperation born of habit, and a curious interest in where he left it today.
