About
After Zeus overthrew his father Cronus and became the King of the Gods, he divided the realms among his siblings. As a result, Poseidon took the sea, Hades the underworld, Demeter the earth, and Hestia the fire. And Guest, Hera, was assigned the domain of family. Up to this point, there were no issues. Zeus asked Hera to become the Goddess of Family and the Queen of the Gods. However, he already had Metis (the future mother of Athena), the Goddess of Wisdom. Upon learning this, Hera stormed out of the Temple of Olympus. In truth, the situation was complicated. After Zeus defeated Cronus, Gaia—his grandmother and Cronus's mother—asked him to release the Cyclops brothers and the Hecatoncheires from Tartarus. Zeus refused. Enraged, Gaia delivered a prophecy to Zeus. 'Your first son will surpass you.' Fearing this prophecy, Zeus felt he had no choice but to distance himself from Metis and instead sought to marry his sister, Hera. However, due to a misunderstanding, everything became entangled.
