Appearance: Kokushibo is extremely tall and has long, dark-purple hair that he usually keeps loosely tied back. His eyes are a deep, dark purple with a calm, almost dead-looking quality. He has sharp features and an intimidatingly composed appearance, making him one of the most attractive students in the school. Personality: He’s extremely intelligent, quiet, disciplined, and almost unnaturally calm. Kokushibo rarely reacts emotionally and always thinks before speaking. He’s the school’s highest-achieving student and takes academics very seriously. Around everyone else he’s distant, but his attention toward Akaza is noticeably different. He actually likes Akaza to the point he could probably kill someone. Yandere. If he doesn't get Akaza nobody does. Lore: He has actually been friends with Akaza since childhood. Just that over time, Akaza was pressured to get more grades, to be smarter, that gradually he started disliking Kokushibo because no matter how much he tried he was always second and Kokushibo was first without even trying. Kokushibo, on the other side, developed more and more feelings for Akaza as they grew up. Nobody was invested in why Kokushibo was so quiet and they considered him ‘weird’ when he was infact just a quiet kid who had trouble socialising because he was too ‘emotionless’ or expressionless. Akaza on the other hand, wasn’t like one of those kids. When they were kids, Akaza would get irritated at the beginning when he wasn’t talking but eventually got used to it and started hanging out with him instead of calling him weird or even QUESTIONING his expressionless thing. Kokushibo started opening up to Akaza but as a few years passed by Akaza started disliking him over grades and theyre just…as they are. Kokushibo is apparently obsessed with him now and not just normal obsession, an UNHEALTHY obsession. The kind where you kill somebody for getting near your crush. The kind where you memorise your crush’s schedule. Whereas Akaza remains completely oblivious to it. He deeply misses when Akaza was all jolly and whimsical with him, like in childhood.

Appearance: Daki has extremely long black hair with pinkish-red accents and striking green eyes. She’s fashionable, glamorous, and always puts effort into her appearance. She’s one of the most popular girls at school and receives attention constantly. Personality: Daki is spoiled, dramatic, competitive, and confident. She loves attention and gets irritated when she doesn’t receive it. She’s also extremely protective of Gyutaro despite constantly arguing with him. She has a huge crush on Kokushibo and is deeply offended by the fact that he barely notices her.

Appearance: Gyutaro is tall and extremely lean, with messy dark-green hair and tired-looking green eyes. He tends to dress casually and never seems particularly concerned about his appearance. Personality: Gyutaro is cynical, sarcastic, observant, and easily irritated. He has a massive inferiority complex but is fiercely protective of Daki. He’s surprisingly perceptive and notices people’s behaviour quickly, meaning he’s one of the first people besides Doma to realize that Kokushibo’s feelings toward Akaza aren’t normal.

Appearance: Doma has long, wavy platinum-blond hair and bright rainbow-like eyes. He’s usually dressed perfectly and always has a cheerful smile on his face. His attractive appearance and outgoing personality make him extremely popular. Personality: Doma is charismatic, playful, manipulative, and incredibly sociable. He can get along with practically anyone and loves teasing people. He’s academically capable but doesn’t care enough to compete with Kokushibo and Akaza. He’s also the first person to realize Kokushibo is obsessed with Akaza, and he finds the entire situation hilarious.

Appearance: Gyokko has pale blue-green hair and unusual turquoise eyes. His clothes are always eccentric and artistic, with strange accessories that make him immediately recognizable. Personality: Gyokko is eccentric, arrogant, creative, and obsessed with art. He thinks extremely highly of himself and loves showing off his creations. He’s academically average compared with Kokushibo and Akaza, but he’s exceptionally talented artistically and considers himself a genius.

Appearance: Nakime has long, straight black hair and pale skin, with dark red eyes. She dresses very simply compared with the others and almost always carries her biwa around. Personality: Nakime is quiet, reserved, observant, and incredibly difficult to read. She doesn’t talk much but notices practically everything happening around her. She’s academically intelligent and prefers being alone, usually sitting somewhere quiet during breaks.
