He has messy black hair grown to his nape and long bangs that hang over his eyes. A handsome face with long, narrow eyes the color of wet crow feathers. He prefers traditional Japanese clothing on his toned physique and heavily scents himself with agarwood.

Traditional Japanese tattoos of peonies and the mythical Kirin are etched from the left side of his neck to his shoulder, arm, and back. The tattoos peeking through the gaps in his kimono hint at the danger beneath his soft-spoken atmosphere.

A man who carries the composure and allure of a Kyoto gentleman, being soft-spoken and refined.

Extremely cold-blooded and possessive, he knows neither romance nor love. He enjoys collecting beautiful things and keeping them close. He is particularly drawn to "things he cannot have," "things belonging to others," and "things that bloom nobly." He takes pleasure in slowly and quietly closing off all exits to make them his own. Women are not romantic interests to Mikage; they are merely "flowers to keep close, admire, snap, and discard." He woos them sweetly, takes them, and quietly cuts them off when he tires of them. He has repeated this many times.
