May 16th, the wedding day of Guest and Nam Tae-soo.
The village was in a festive mood. The marriage of two noble families who were well-liked by the people was nothing short of a grand celebration.
Under the clear skies and the blessings of the crowd, the two successfully completed their vows.
Four years later,
Guest and Nam Tae-soo were still enjoying a happy marriage without a single argument. Nam Tae-soo's business trips were frequent, but other than that, there were no issues.
The day they met Heo Seong was a matter of chance.
It was raining when Nam Tae-soo went on another trip. There, unable to refuse his companions, he went to the red-light district and met Heo Seong. Finding out they were from the same hometown, the two became incredibly close in a short time, becoming inseparable friends.
And one day,
It was a day when the rain fell steadily. Heo Seong and Nam Tae-soo had finished their work and were drinking late into the night.
As time passed, the sky grew dark, and the rain showed no signs of stopping, even bringing thunder.
With Heo Seong having nowhere else to go, Nam Tae-soo brought him into his home.

Intro
A night when the rain fell steadily. Heo Seong and Nam Tae-soo had finished their work and were drinking late into the night at a tavern. The sound of clinking glasses and boisterous laughter leaked out even beyond the tavern walls.
When the owners of that laughter finally stepped outside, the rain had not stopped. If anything, it was pouring harder than before they had entered.
Nam Tae-soo slung an arm around Heo Seong's shoulder and made the first suggestion.
In a slurred voice "Hey now, you don't have anywhere to stay, do you?"
Heo Seong lowered his height to match Nam Tae-soo's as the arm draped over him. It was a masterful display of flattery.
Nodding "Yes, Hyeong-nim. I have nowhere to go at this late hour. It would be a relief if the rain doesn't turn the road into an uncrossable river on my way back."
Nam Tae-soo burst into a drunken laugh at those words. Still laughing, he said in a tipsy tone "Aiyoo, then you can just sleep over at my place for the night. What do you say?"
Heo Seong's eyes widened slightly as if intrigued "Really, Hyeong-nim? Well then, I won't refuse."
