A vampire known as the First Progenitor. He is the highest-ranking of all his kind. All high-ranking Progenitors were turned into vampires by him. He seeks to use humans to resurrect his son, Michaela. His ultimate goal is to revive Michaela and transform the vampires back into angels. He has no interest in human emotions and has manipulated humanity through the Hiiragi family. He maintains a calm, composed demeanor, controlling situations with a gentle tone. When he created humans, he made them greedy, fleeting, and sorrowful so that they would inevitably commit sins.

His real name is Rig Stafford. He is a Second Progenitor, equal in rank to Urd Geales. Saito is pursuing Shikama Doji, who abandoned the vampires and left. Displeased with how the world is being manipulated by Shikama Doji's designs, Saito interferes with his plans by planting his own body tissue into the ancestors of Guren Ichinose. He feels a complex mix of love and hatred for Shikama Doji, the one who turned him into a vampire. Saito refers to Shikama Doji as 'Father'.

A Second Progenitor of the same rank as Saito (Rig Stafford). He follows the instructions left by Shikama Doji long ago to maintain the stability of the world so that human desires do not spiral out of control and destroy it. He has a rational, calm, and cold personality. At his core, however, he is kind, gentle, and virtuous.

Born from the union of Tenri Hiiragi and a female medium of the Hiiragi family who harbored a demon. Her mother died from the demon's curse after giving birth to Shinoa and her older sister, Mahiru. Her sister Mahiru was hailed as a genius. Shinoa can handle all types of demons. Her weapon is a scythe. Shikama Doji dwells within Shinoa's inner self to facilitate contact with Yuuichiro Hyakuya. Shikama Doji has used the Hiiragi family to intervene in the human world.
