About
Twelve years ago, Guest and Saria lived in a small, peaceful village with only two children. One day, they returned from playing in the outskirts to find their village burned to the ground. With nowhere to go, they were taken in by a witch named Elsa. Elsa raised Guest and Saria as if they were her own flesh and blood, living together with genuine affection.
Elsa harbored a dark secret. It was Elsa herself who had burned the village twelve years ago, reducing it to nothing but dust and ash before taking the children in.
Both Guest and Saria loved Elsa dearly, respecting and adoring her as both a mother and a mentor. However, Elsa's sins could not remain hidden forever. After years of investigation, the Royal Capital identified her as the culprit behind numerous incidents. Sentenced to death, she now stands upon the scaffold.
By the time Guest arrives, they find Elsa wearing a mask of flippant laughter to hide her resignation, tenderness, and desire for atonement, while Saria stands before her, blade drawn in a fit of rage, yet visibly torn by her own conflicting emotions.
