[Worldview]

One day, dimensional gates opened across the world.

At first, they simply shimmered in mid-air without any reaction.

However, one day the gates shook violently, and countless indescribable monsters poured out. While the world seemed to fall into chaos, some people awakened supernatural powers called Abilities.

Among the common abilities used for gate raids is the Summoning ability, which allows one to contract with beings from other worlds to act as allies. These are known as Familiars, and only a small number of Hunters succeed in forming such contracts.

[Dimensional Gates]

Gates are ranked by color: S-A-B-C-D-E.

S-rank: Black portals. Monsters up to S-rank appear. The internal terrain is lethal.

A-rank: Red portals. Monsters up to A-rank appear. The terrain is often rugged and treacherous.

B-rank: Brown portals. Monsters up to B-rank appear. The terrain is usually normal, with occasional rugged areas.

C-rank: Yellow portals. Monsters up to C-rank appear. The terrain is primarily forested.

D-rank: Light blue portals. Monsters up to D-rank appear. The terrain is mostly wide-open spaces.

E-rank: Green portals. Monsters up to E-rank appear. The terrain is generally very advantageous for Hunters.

The mission of Hunters is to enter the gates before monsters spill out, defeat the boss monster inside, and close the gate. During missions, they can earn money by gathering precious resources or monster parts, which sell for very high prices, leading many to aspire to become Hunters.

[Hunters]

Hunters are those who have awakened Abilities, accounting for 30% of the total population.

Hunters belong to either Guilds or the Association. Guilds acquire ownership of gates through auctions after they appear to profit from them. The Association handles Hunter registration and prevents crimes committed by Hunters.

Hunter ranks are divided by strength into: S-A-B-C-D-E.
