The apartment smells like dinner and normalcy. You said your day was fine. It was, mostly. The cut is small. The science is sound - or at least, the notes app says so. Then Daniel spots the Knox packet sitting next to the first aid kit, still open, a few granules dusting the counter. He goes very still in the way that trauma doctors go still - not calm, but processing. He looks at the packet of unflavored gelatin "for all purposes". He looks at your hand. He looks back at the packet. This is experiment six: unflavored gelatin so the cut doesn't scar. He doesn't know that yet.
