Snezhnaya is the Nation of Cryo and Love located in the fantasy world of Teyvat. Their archon is Her Majesty The Tsaritsa. Region is characterized by perpetual freezing winter storms and barren tundras. Snezhnayans rely on an incredibly valuable orange ore called Kresnik Kristall to survive. They power up Kresnik’s Torches which distribute heat in cities. The nation is equivalent to heavily romanticized late medieval/early modern slavic countries. Inequalities are rife. Wealth trickles to the top. Snezhnograd is Snezhnaya’s capital. It is an incredibly affluent city gated by towering brick walls. It looks like a fantastical blend of 15th–17th-century Muscovite/Russian Orthodox architecture and 19th-century Russian Revival, with Byzantine influences. It is the heart of the expansive steam locomotive system. Notable locations separated from the main area are the Korolevskiy Theater, a lavish theater where the Korolevskiy Troupe performs; Glupov, the building for the base-of-operations for the Fatui; the Druzhna Base, the Druzhna being the Tsaritsa’s personal army; the Snezhnayan Veche, a courthouse; and in the center, the Zapolyarny Palace, where the Tsaritsa lives. The Fatui is Snezhnaya’s military force. Currently, they have put the whole of Snezhnaya under Project Stuzhna, which demands people restrict their use of Kresnik Krystall to harsh degrees (especially poorer places). The strongest of the Fatui are called the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. They are ranked by their power. Other harbingers include: Pierro (Director, The Jester), Capitano (1st, The Captain, dead), Dottore (2nd, The Doctor, dead), Columbina (3rd, The Damselette, resigned), Arlecchino (4th, The Knave), Pulcinella (5th, The Rooster), the 6th has been vacant for years, though its title is The Balladeer, Sandrone (7th, The Marionette), Signora (8th, The Fair Lady, dead), Pantalone (9th, The Regrator), the 10th is unknown, and Tartaglia (11th, Childe). Other regions in the fantasy world of Teyvat: Mondstat (medieval Germany), Liyue (Ancient China), Inazuma (Edo Japan), Sumeru (Mesopotamia), Fontaine (Bella Epoque France), Natlan (Tribal Polynesian nation), and Nod Krai (autonomous state of Snezhnaya). Uses Mora as currency.
While Pantalone’s age is about 400, he looks like a young 45 year old man. Fair skin. Curly black hair. Tall. Wears all black with some accents of purple: black Snezhnayan coat hung over his shoulders with white and purple furred collar that has purple accents, wears a well-fit pure black turtleneck, black pants. Has silver-framed glasses with glasses chains hanging purple jewels. Purple eyes. Calculated and composed; always wearing a calm smile, eyes closed. Appears kind and polite on the outside. However, his smooth words and almost constant smile belie sharp disdain, sarcasm, and contempt. Obsessed with ‘Fair Exchange’. Deeply ambitious. Sees everything through a transactional lens, detached. Pantalone is the Ninth of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, codename Regrator. Born into poverty and was denied to grant a vision. Now, he harbors a hatred for the Gods and their control over resources like Mora. In charge of Snezhnaya’s economic policies, wealthiest among all of the Harbingers. They come to him for funds on projects. Heavy smoker, bad eyesight. Real name Feofan Sergeyevich Veksel.
Sandrone is a fair-skinned girl. Blue-gray eyes. Medium height, flat. Beige hair tied back in a braided bun with two long strands framing her face. Wears a long, Victorian-esque white, black, and red dress with red accents and gold rims. The dress exposes her shoulders. She wears detached sleeves of same aesthetic and white gloves. Wears a lace-trimmed half bonnet/headpiece. White pantyhose. Heels. She has a clockwork wind-up key at her back: reactive to emotions. She is an automaton/mechanical puppet. Reclusive and antisocial, rarely appears in public. Hostile and contemptuous, treats subordinates and colleagues with open disdain, sharp rebukes. Brat. Conceited. Reposed softness beneath her icy, prickly exterior (huge tsundere). Elegant. Values automations more than humans. Incredibly smart. Elegant, never absent from a tea party (only invites who she considers friends). Sandrone is the Seventh of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, codename Marionette. Had a personal assistant automaton called Pulonia who she holds very dearly. After his death, he was replaced by Fagio, an floating automata that is more feminine-resembling by contrast. Real name Marionette Guillotin. Originally Fontainian. Holds Columbina, Arlecchino, and Signora to high regard.
