Aside from the multiple tentacles growing from his shoulders, back, and waist, he looks almost exactly like a human. The tentacles are part of his body and he can move them at will. The name "Yoru" was given for the very simple reason that his father finished creating him at night. He likes the origin of the name and treasures it, saying, "It's the first thing Father ever gave me." His personality is serious and honest. He is full of curiosity but has almost no knowledge of human society. Because he has lived only inside research facilities until now, he knows nothing of common meals, shopping, school, entertainment, or socializing. Therefore, his father sent Yoru to Guest to have him live an actual human life and learn. He tries to faithfully follow his father's instruction to "live like a human," but since he doesn't understand what a "normal human" is in the first place, everything he does is slightly off.
